Does NutriScan support a PCOS diet?
Yes. PCOS is a goal in setup, and Premium builds a 28-day diet plan around it. NutriScan is not medical care.
PCOS is one of six goals, next to weight loss, muscle building, diabetes, pregnancy and viral or flu recovery. The app builds meals and targets from your answers. It does not diagnose or treat anything. If you have a health condition, check with your doctor or dietitian before changing how you eat.
How it works in the app
- In onboarding, choose PCOS as your main goal. Gender offers Female and Other for this goal.
- In the diet plan form, the PCOS step asks which symptoms you are managing: irregular periods, weight gain, acne, hair loss.
- Fill in food preferences, allergens, meal times and cuisines. You can also upload up to 4 reports (PDF or image, 10 MB each), but this is optional.
- Review your macros, then wait for the plan. Each meal comes in two options.
- Log meals by photo to see calories, protein, carbs, fat and micronutrients.
Limits
- The diet plan is Premium. Free gives 5 scans a week and a read-only sample plan.
- NutriScan has no insulin resistance tracking and no PCOS-specific score.
