Does NutriScan work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. NutriScan runs on iPhone and on Android phones. You find it in the App Store on iPhone and in Google Play on Android.
What is the same on both
Meal scanning, the Home screen, the Report tiles, Progress and the subscription screen work the same way. Sign in works the same way too: Continue with Google, or an email with a 6-digit code.
What differs by phone
| Area | iPhone | Android |
|---|---|---|
| Sign in with Apple | Yes | Not offered |
| Health data source | Apple Health | Health Connect |
| Energy tile | Active Energy | Total Energy |
| Heart rate variability | SDNN | RMSSD |
| Cancel a subscription | App Store settings | Google Play settings |
On Android, if the Health Connect app is missing, the connect screen asks "Do you have the Health Connect app?" and a Get button opens its Play Store page.
Permissions
The app asks for camera access on your first scan, photo access to pick a meal photo from the gallery, and microphone access for voice input. Notification permission is an onboarding step on both phones. Location is asked after 2 completed scans, and you can say no. If you deny the camera, the camera screen shows "We don't have access to your camera" with a Grant Permission button.
Limits
Mobile number sign in works for +91 numbers only. Everyone else signs in with Google, Apple on iPhone, or email.
