Does NutriScan have an intermittent fasting timer?
Yes. NutriScan has a Fasting tab on Home with 14:10, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 and custom plans, a live countdown, a streak and a history of your last 20 fasts.
How it works in the app
- Tap the Fasting tab at the top of Home.
- First time, tap Choose Your Plan and pick a plan.
- Tap Start Fasting. The ring counts down the time remaining.
- When you finish, tap End Fast. Past the target, the ring shows a bonus time.
Plans
14:10, 16:8, 18:6 and 20:4. Custom lets you set 12 to 23 fasting hours, or a longer fast: 24h (OMAD), 36h, 48h, 72h or 7 days. For extended fasts the app says "Stay hydrated. Consult your doctor before extended fasts."
Details
- Edit the start or end time with the pencil. A start can go back up to 7 days.
- Ending a fast under 1 hour discards it.
- One fast counts per day. Starting again after a fast at 70% or more asks if you want to replace it.
- The Report card shows Week, Month and 3 Months with your streak and average hours per day.
- History keeps your last 20 fasts. Swipe left on one to delete it, with Undo for 5 seconds.
- Fasting works on Apple Watch too, and Monika can start or end a fast by voice.
- Fasting notifications open the Fasting tab.
