Does NutriScan work on Apple Watch?

Yes. The NutriScan Apple Watch app shows today's calories and macros, logs meals by voice, and tracks water and fasting. It needs watchOS 26 and a paired iPhone.

What you need

watchOS 26 or later, and a paired iPhone with NutriScan signed in. Before the phone sends anything, the watch says "Open NutriScan on your iPhone to finish setup."

The four slides

  1. Today. Remaining calories (or Over, in red), a calorie arc with calories eaten, and protein, carbs and fat in grams.
  2. Readiness. Your Progress readiness score, red under 50, amber up to 80, green above.
  3. Water. A glass that fills toward your daily goal, with 250, 330 and 500 ml presets (8, 12, 16 fl oz) and Undo for 5 seconds.
  4. Fasting. Start or end a fast and pick 14:10, 16:8, 18:6 or 20:4. A fast ended under 1 hour is discarded, as on the phone.

Logging a meal by voice

Tap Log (the mic pill) on Today, say what you ate, check the text and tap Log Meal. Your iPhone does the work, so you can close the watch app. The meal is saved as a typed meal at the time you dictated it.

Limits

  • Free users see Water and Fasting. Today and Readiness ask you to upgrade on the iPhone. There is no paywall on the watch.
  • This page covers Apple Watch only. The feature doc does not describe other watches.
  • Watch text comes in all 12 app languages.
