Does NutriScan help people with diabetes track carbs?
Yes. NutriScan shows carbs and net carbs for every meal and lets you log blood sugar readings next to those meals, for your own tracking.
How it works in the app
- Scan, type or speak a meal. The Nutrition Details page lists Calories, Protein, Carbs and Fat.
- Under those, a second row shows Fiber and Net Carbs. German users also see BE.
- To keep net carbs in view all day, open Profile > Customize Home and pin Net Carbs (or Sugar) to Today's Count. You can pin up to 6.
- If you want blood sugar beside the meal, open Home > Report > Glucose and tap Log. See Can I log blood sugar next to my meals.
If a portion looks off, tap the portion pill on the meal and change the amount. The carbs update as you change it.
Limits
- NutriScan does not diagnose anything and does not replace your doctor or your meter. The Glucose page says: "For your own tracking. Not a medical device or medical advice. Talk to your doctor about your targets."
- Readings from a continuous glucose monitor app (more than 24 readings a day) are not imported.
- Please talk to your doctor before you change your treatment.
