Omo app pricing 2026: App Store subscription prices, the optional free trial, website and store purchases, and the refund and cancel rules

Omo is free to download, and using it needs a subscription that the US App Store lists from $9.99 for one month to $29.99 for a year. The store description says: "You can download the app for free. Further use requires a subscription." Omo publishes no price list on its website, so the store's in-app purchase list is the only public price source.

I work on the NutriScan team, which makes a food tracking app, so treat this as a competitor's reading of public documents. Every price and rule below comes from Omo's terms, its refund policy, the app store listings and customer reviews, and each one is linked so you can check it.

Prices checked on October 29, 2026 in the US stores. Prices in other countries can differ.

TL;DR

  • There is no free plan in either store description. Both say that further use "requires a subscription".
  • The App Store lists ten paid items: monthly at $9.99 and $19.99, three months at $19.99 and $29.99, a year at $29.99, plus add-ons from $19.99 to $29.99.
  • A free trial is optional for Omo. The listing says it is offered "At our discretion".
  • You can buy Omo in two places, the app stores or Omo's own website, and each one has different refund and cancel rules.
  • The refund policy covers website purchases only. Its refund for no visible results needs 30 days of complete food tracking in a row.
  • Add-ons such as guides and a meal and workout bundle are billed on top of the subscription.

Is Omo free? The quick answer

No. You can install Omo at no cost. After the setup questions, the app asks you to buy a subscription before you can use it.

The terms of use do allow for free content. Section 5.1 says "Some limited Product Content may be made available to you free of charge." I could not find a description of any free feature on the website or in either store listing.

Recent reviewers describe the same thing. One wrote on June 27, 2026: "Makes you do a whole quiz and then makes you pay in the end." Another, on September 28, 2026, said they had used Omo daily until an update: "There was an update recently where I couldn't even get into the app because you have to pay to use it." That second review suggests some older accounts had free access that has since ended. It is one person's report, and I cannot confirm it.

Who runs Omo

Two companies run Omo, and which one you deal with depends on where you paid. The terms name both in section 1.2:

  • The app is provided by Welltech Apps Limited, registered at Karaiskaki 13, 3032, Limassol, Cyprus.
  • The website is provided by Actitech Limited at the same address.
  • Website payments can also be taken by one of three merchants of record named in section 1.3: Welltika Content Provider DMCC in Dubai, Tech SG LLC in Las Vegas, or Fitinc Incorporated in Wilmington, Delaware.

This matters when a charge appears on your card. The company name on your statement may be one you do not recognize.

A few more facts from the listings. The iPhone app was released on June 16, 2020, and one in-app purchase is still called "Stay on Track Premium", which suggests an earlier name.

  • Size. The App Store shows 4.5 from 33K ratings. Google Play shows 4.2 from 31.2K reviews and more than 500,000 downloads, with the last update on September 29, 2026.
  • Age limit. The App Store rates Omo 4+. The terms say in section 2.4: "The Product is not intended for individuals under the age of 16."

Omo price list on the App Store

Omo does not publish prices. The "In-App Purchases" section of the US App Store page listed these ten items on October 29, 2026.

Item name on the App StorePriceType
1 Month Premium$9.99Subscription
1 Month with Trial$9.99Subscription
1 Month Premium$19.99Subscription
3 Months Premium$19.99Subscription
3 Months Premium$29.99Subscription
1 Year Premium$29.99Subscription
Stay on Track Premium$59.99Not stated
Premium bundle$24.00Add-on
Lifetime access to guides$19.99Add-on
Lifetime access to guides$29.99Add-on

Apple gives only a name and a price, so the "Type" column is my reading of the names.

Three details in this list matter.

The same plan has two prices. One month is listed at $9.99 and at $19.99. Three months is listed at $19.99 and at $29.99. The store does not say who sees which price. The listing says only that "you pay the fixed price for your country, which is displayed in the app".

The yearly plan costs the same as the dearer three-month plan. Both are $29.99. If your offer screen shows three months at $29.99, a full year exists at the same price.

Website prices are separate. The website sells Omo after an online quiz, and it shows its prices only at checkout. Reviewers who bought there report different amounts. One wrote on April 12, 2025: "I bought three month intro for 26$ and the work out meals plan for 36$". Another described a weekly charge of $38.95 in November 2025. I could not verify either amount, because the checkout is not public.

Google Play shows "In-app purchases" for Omo without a public item list, so I have no Android prices to give you.

What Omo costs over a year

This table turns each App Store subscription into a 12-month cost, assuming the listed price renews unchanged.

PlanListed priceRenewals in a yearCost over 12 months
1 Year Premium$29.991$29.99
3 Months Premium$19.994$79.96
3 Months Premium$29.994$119.96
1 Month Premium$9.9912$119.88
1 Month Premium$19.9912$239.88

The range is wide. The same year of Omo costs $29.99 on the yearly plan and $239.88 on the dearer monthly plan, which is eight times more.

Column chart of Omo cost over 12 months: 1 Year at $29.99, 3 Months at $19.99 is $79.96, 1 Month at $9.99 is $119.88, 3 Months at $29.99 is $119.96 and 1 Month at $19.99 is $239.88Figure 1: Twelve-month cost of each Omo subscription on the US App Store, October 29, 2026.

As Figure 1 shows, the $9.99 monthly plan passes the $29.99 yearly price in month 4 (four payments come to $39.96). A monthly plan only saves money if you plan to stop within three months.

Add-ons change the total. A yearly plan plus the $24.00 bundle and a $29.99 guide comes to $83.98. A reviewer wrote on November 12, 2025 that "this app costs around $85USD for the full benefits", which is close to that sum.

What an Omo subscription includes

The store listings describe one paid product with these parts:

  • Calorie counter and macro tracker with a barcode scanner and food recognition.
  • A weight loss course with short articles on eating habits and daily motivation.
  • A fasting tracker with a timer.
  • A step counter and a weight tracker. The App Store listing says Omo works with Apple Watch and Fitbit and exchanges data with Apple Health.

Meal plans and workout plans appear to cost extra for some users. A reviewer wrote on January 23, 2026 that Omo has "an additional 25 dollar subscription to pay for, for the meal plans and workout plans". That matches the $24.00 "Premium bundle" in Apple's list.

🧩 The 48-hour rule (coming soon)

The Omo free trial

Omo does not promise a trial. The App Store description says: "At our discretion, we may decide to offer you a free trial per the terms displayed in the app."

The in-app purchase list has an item called "1 Month with Trial" at $9.99. That tells me a trial exists for at least some users, and that it converts to a $9.99 monthly plan. The list does not give the trial length. A reviewer wrote on January 23, 2026 that the app "does not have a free trial", so some people are not offered one.

If you do get a trial, three rules from the terms apply:

  1. You need a payment method. The trial is attached to a subscription from the start.
  2. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Section 5.4 says the trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel by then.
  3. Do not wait for a reminder. The same section says: "We may send you a reminder when your free trial is about to end, but we do not guarantee any such notifications."

Two ways to buy Omo, and two sets of rules

This is the part of Omo's terms that I think causes the most confusion. Section 5.1 describes two purchase routes.

In-app purchaseWebsite purchase
Where you payApple or Googleomo-app.io checkout
Payment methodsYour store accountCard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay
Who holds the subscriptionApple or GoogleActitech or a merchant of record
Where you cancelStore subscription settingsOmo web account or contact form
Who decides refundsApple or GoogleOmo's refund policy

The route decides everything that follows. A website subscription does not appear in your iPhone's subscription list, even if you paid with Apple Pay. Apple Pay on a website is a card payment. It does not create an App Store subscription.

Several complaints fit this pattern. A reviewer wrote on November 5, 2025 that Omo "keeps charging me $38.95 through an AplPay token every week" after cancelling. I cannot verify it.

So before you cancel or ask for money back, check your receipt email. A receipt from Apple or Google means a store subscription. A receipt from Omo or a payment company means a website subscription.

⏳ The 48-hour rule (next)

Omo refund policy: what each route allows

Bought in the App Store or Google Play

Omo does not refund store purchases. Section 5.3 of the terms says "we cannot refund you any In-App Purchase", because the store processes the payment. You ask the store instead, through Apple's refund form or Google Play's refund steps.

The Android subscription terms are direct about it: "We as the App Developer do not provide refunds or facilitate chargebacks." The App Store description adds that after you cancel, "the current subscription will not be refunded".

Bought on the website

The refund policy applies here. Its general rule is that a purchase is final. The terms repeat it in section 5.2: "Web Purchases are final and cannot be canceled".

The policy then lists two exceptions.

Exception A: technical problems. You may get a refund if a technical issue makes the product impossible to use and you ask within 30 calendar days of the purchase date. Omo may ask for your device model, the steps that cause the problem and a screen video or screenshots.

Exception B: no visible results. This one has conditions. For a standard subscription you must have:

  • "tracked all your food intakes during 30 days in a row", and
  • not eaten more calories than the app set for you.

Shorter plans have their own version:

Subscription lengthFood tracking requiredActivities required
Standard30 days in a rowNone listed
Two weeks12 days in a row6 tracked activities
One week6 days in a row3 tracked activities

What the conditions mean in practice

Exception B asks for a perfect record. One missed day of logging in the first month breaks the "in a row" condition. Research suggests few people log that consistently. A review of 39 weight loss trials found that few programs reached self-monitoring on 75% of days or more (Patel et al., 2021).

Four more lines in the policy are worth knowing:

  • A fee can be deducted. If you are entitled to a refund, "we reserve the right to charge a fee to cover the cost of any administrative or other expenses".
  • The policy can change. It says "We may change this Refund Policy at any time without notice". The current version is marked "Effective as of 10 August 2022".
  • EU withdrawal right. The policy says buyers in the European Union lose the right of withdrawal once the purchase is delivered.
  • Timing. Card refunds are issued within 2 business days and can take up to 5 business days to arrive.

The terms add that Omo will refund where the law requires it. Consumer law in your country may give you more than the policy does.

Add-ons are billed on top

The terms describe add-on items in section 1.6: "fitness guides, VIP customer support service, additional subscriptions". They can be one-off or recurring.

Two rules apply to recurring add-ons:

  • Cancelling the main subscription also cancels the recurring add-on payments.
  • Cancelling only an add-on leaves the main subscription running.

The "Lifetime access to guides" items appear to be one-off purchases. The iOS subscription terms say a subscription sold on a lifetime basis is "final, non-refundable and cannot be cancelled".

Auto-renewal and price changes

Every Omo subscription renews by itself. The terms give periods of 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year. You must cancel at least 24 hours before a period ends to stop the next charge.

The terms state in capital letters that deleting the app does not cancel a subscription or a trial.

On price, section 5.5 says "we may change subscription fees at any time", with the change taking effect at your next renewal. Omo says it will give notice in the app or by email. Section 5.2 limits the renewal rate to the prior rate "excluding any promotional or discount pricing". In plain words, a discounted first period can renew at the full price.

How to cancel Omo

Cancel with the company that billed you.

Bought in the App Store:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Omo, then Cancel Subscription.

Bought on Google Play:

  1. Open the Play Store and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Omo, then Cancel subscription.

Bought on the website:

  1. Log in at omo-app.io/log-in.
  2. Tap Subscriptions or Manage Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Cancel Subscription.

If the web account does not work, the terms give a second route: Welltech's contact form, which has a Cancellation category. Use the email address you paid with, and keep a copy of what you send.

After you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you paid for. Take a screenshot of the cancelled status with the date visible.

What users say about Omo

I read the 100 most recent written App Store reviews in the US. They run from March 25, 2025 to September 28, 2026.

RatingReviews out of 100
5 stars25
4 stars12
3 stars23
2 stars9
1 star31

Of the 100 reviews, 32 mention billing, cancelling or refunds, and 26 of those 32 give one star. Typical titles are "Kept taking my money after cancelled" and "Not able to cancel subscription".

Positive reviews mostly praise the food log and the lessons. A two-star reviewer reported that barcode scans often showed more calories than the package label.

Written reviews are a self-selected sample. The overall App Store rating is 4.5 across about 33,000 ratings.

Trustpilot shows a lower score: 2.8 from 3,548 reviews, with 8 reviews in the last 12 months. Trustpilot's own notes on the page say "Replied to 28% of negative reviews" and "This company hasn't invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative".

What the research says about weight loss apps and fasting

Omo sells calorie tracking, a habit course and fasting in one subscription. Published research gives a measured view of each.

Tracking helps, if you keep doing it. In the Patel review cited above, more digital self-monitoring was linked to weight loss in 74% of the cases examined.

Apps produce modest weight loss. A meta-analysis of 12 studies found that phone app programs reduced body weight by 1.07 kg more than control groups (Islam et al., 2020). A later meta-analysis found app weight loss peaked at 2.18 kg at 3 months and was 1.63 kg at 12 months. Its authors called the effects "minimal in their current states" (Chew et al., 2022).

Fasting works about as well as counting calories. Omo's Google Play listing says fasting "controls blood insulin & sugar levels" and "stimulates metabolism". A 12-month trial in 139 people with obesity compared calorie restriction with and without an 8-hour eating window. Weight loss was 8.0 kg with the eating window and 6.3 kg without, and the difference was not statistically significant (Liu et al., 2022).

I found no published trial of Omo itself. The studies above describe app programs and fasting in general.

Who Omo is worth paying for

Omo may suit you if:

  • You want calories, fasting, steps and short lessons in one app.
  • Your offer screen shows the $29.99 yearly plan, and you expect to use it for more than three months.
  • You are comfortable managing a subscription in your store settings.

Omo may not suit you if:

  • You want to test an app before paying. A trial is not guaranteed.
  • You need workout logging beyond steps. Reviewers describe that as limited or sold as an add-on.
  • You are under 16. The terms exclude you.
  • You are pregnant, have diabetes or have a history of disordered eating. Speak with a doctor before you start fasting or a calorie target. The terms state that Omo does not provide medical advice.

How to try Omo without an unwanted charge: 5 steps

  1. Decide before the quiz. The setup questions end at a payment screen. Decide first whether you are willing to pay or start a trial.
  2. Buy inside the app store. A store purchase appears in your phone subscription settings, and Apple or Google handles refund requests.
  3. Screenshot the offer screen. Record the plan length, the price, any trial length and the date of the first charge. If you see one month at $19.99, remember the list also has $9.99 monthly and $29.99 yearly items. Decline add-ons until you have used the app for a week.
  4. Cancel two days early. This is the 48-hour rule. The terms ask for 24 hours. Cancel with the company that billed you at least 48 hours before the trial or period ends, so a time zone gap or a slow store sync cannot push the charge through, and keep the confirmation.
  5. Act the same day if you are charged. Send a refund request to Apple or Google, or use the Welltech contact form for a website payment, with the date and amount.

Tracking food with a free tier

Omo asks for payment before you can use it. If you want to try food tracking before you spend anything, pick an app with a free tier. NutriScan, the app my team makes, has a Free plan with 5 AI food scans a week and a Premium plan at about $59 a year, and the plans are listed in our pricing breakdown. NutriScan estimates calories and macros from a photo. It does not include a fasting course or workout guides, so it does not replace everything in Omo.

Omo pricing FAQ

Is the Omo app free?

No. The download is free, and the App Store description says "Further use requires a subscription." I found no free plan described on the website or in either store listing.

How much does Omo cost?

Omo does not publish prices. On October 29, 2026 the US App Store listed one month at $9.99 and $19.99, three months at $19.99 and $29.99, and one year at $29.99. Add-ons cost $19.99 to $29.99. Website prices appear only at checkout.

Does Omo have a free trial?

Sometimes. The store listing says a free trial is offered at Omo's discretion. The App Store lists an item called "1 Month with Trial" at $9.99, and some reviewers say they were offered no trial.

Can I get a refund from Omo?

For store purchases, ask Apple or Google, because Omo does not refund them. For website purchases, the refund policy allows a refund for technical problems within 30 days, or for no visible results after 30 days of complete food tracking in a row.

How do I cancel my Omo subscription?

Cancel with the company that billed you. For Apple, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. For Google, open the Play Store, then Payments and subscriptions. For a website purchase, log in at omo-app.io/log-in and open Subscriptions, or use the Welltech contact form.
