Is the Lasta App Free? Lasta Fit Pricing, Trial and Refunds

Lasta's own FAQ gives two numbers: the app "costs $9.49 USD for a personalized 28-day plan", and "after the first month, the subscription renews at $55.82 USD" (Lasta FAQ). That second number is the one most people miss. As a NutriScan nutritionist I look at a lot of wellness app checkouts, and Lasta is one where the first price and the real price sit far apart. When I checked on September 26, 2026, a plan that renews every 28 days meant 13 charges in your first year, $679.33 in total, and about $726 a year after that.

TL;DR: Lasta pricing in 30 seconds
• Free plan: none. The app is free to download, but the programs and trackers need a subscription
• Trial: a paid trial. The low first charge ($9.49 in the FAQ) is the trial, and it renews at full price unless you cancel 24 hours before it ends
• Website prices: $9.49 for the first 28 days, then $55.82 every 28 days. Lasta's pricing article lists full prices of $61.99, $87.99 and $109.99 for 28 days, 12 weeks and 24 weeks
• Store prices: the US App Store lists three Lasta Fit Premium purchases at $14.99, $24.99 and $34.99
• Refunds: website fees are non-refundable except narrow cases, including a 30-day guarantee that needs 14 straight days of screenshots
The quick answer: free to download, paid to use
Lasta's FAQ is direct about it: "Lasta is available through a subscription" (Lasta FAQ). The terms of use say the same thing in legal form: "In order to access the Services, you have to purchase a subscription on the Website or in the App" (Lasta Terms of Use). There is no free tier with a daily limit and no free plan with ads.
What you can do for free is take the onboarding quiz, which ends with a personal plan and price. Lasta says "the exact price is shown after you complete the onboarding quiz and may vary based on your location, taxes, and currency conversion." Two people in the same city can see different offers.
What Lasta is (and why you may know it as Lasta Fit)
Lasta Inc. is a Delaware corporation. Its terms list an operating address in North Miami, Florida (Lasta Terms of Use), and its Google Play page lists a developer address in Raleigh, North Carolina. The iPhone app is called "Lasta Fit: Your Wellness Coach" and the Android app is "Lasta: Your Wellness Coach". Same company, same account. If you searched "lasta fit reviews", you are looking at the same product.
Lasta still lists fasting plans and a fasting tracker, but today it sells low-impact home workouts first. The homepage offers "12 personalized, habit-focused programs" that each run for 28 days (Lasta homepage), and the Google Play listing names them: Indoor Walking, Tai Chi, Tai Chi Indoor Walking, Asian Pilates, Calisthenics, Wall Pilates, Chair Yoga, Somatic Yoga, Home Pilates, Tabata, Military Workouts and Military Calisthenics. Around the programs sit trackers for water, weight, calories, fasting, steps and mood, plus an AI coach chat.
The size numbers depend on who you ask:
| Source | What it showed on September 26, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Lasta homepage | "more than 10 million users" since 2022, "1.1M+ users in 2025", "4.8/5 TrustPilot rating" |
| Google Play | 4.6 stars from about 30,500 reviews, 500K+ downloads, updated September 25, 2026 |
| US App Store (Lasta Fit) | 4.6 stars from about 3,900 ratings |
The homepage figure counts everyone who joined since 2022, across older Lasta apps, so the current store listings look much smaller.

Is there a Lasta free trial?
Not a free one. The terms call it a "paid trial subscription": "Unless you cancel before the trial ends, or unless otherwise stated, your access will continue and you will be billed the applicable fees" (Lasta Terms of Use). They also say to cancel "not later than 24 hours before the trial ends."
So the $9.49 plan is the trial. You pay a small amount, you get 28 days, and then the full price starts unless you stop it. Many Better Business Bureau complaints describe this exact moment. One from July 2026 says the customer "agreed to the $7.99 charge" and then saw $79 the following month and again the month after (BBB complaints, Lasta Inc). Another customer paid $9.49 for a 28-day Chair Yoga plan on May 28, 2026, and was charged $55.82 on June 25, 2026, exactly 28 days later.
Day 29, when the $9.49 plan comes back as $55.82
When I checked, the BBB profile listed 964 complaints in the last 3 years, 224 of them tagged as billing issues. Lasta is not BBB accredited, but it does answer: 628 complaints are marked answered and 336 resolved. The company's replies repeat one line. Customers "were informed that these subscriptions would automatically renew at the full price once the chosen term ended", and "the date of the next charge was also communicated in the welcome email." Both things can be true: the renewal is disclosed, and people still miss it. Your best protection is a calendar reminder set on the day you pay.

How much Lasta costs on the website and in the app stores
Lasta publishes several price lists, and they do not match.
The current FAQ price. The FAQ on the homepage lists $9.49 for the first 28-day plan and $55.82 for each renewal (Lasta FAQ). Renewals every 28 days add up to 13 charges a year, so the first year costs $9.49 plus 12 renewals, or $679.33. Every year after that is about $726.
The pricing article. Lasta's own article on what the app costs is dated September 1, 2025 and was last updated on August 27, 2026. It lists three plan lengths, each with a full price and a discounted first price (Lasta blog, How much does the Lasta app cost):
| Plan | Full price | Discounted first price | Full price over 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| 28-day plan | $61.99 | $10.54 | about $806 (13 renewals) |
| 12-week plan | $87.99 | $22.00 | about $381 |
| 24-week plan | $109.99 | $33.00 | about $238 |
The last column is my arithmetic at the full price, because that is what renews. Over a year, the 24-week plan costs less than a third of the 28-day plan.
Figure 1: Rolling 28-day plans cost about three times as much per year as the 24-week plan
The App Store price list. Apple publishes every in-app purchase an app offers. The US listing for Lasta Fit shows three, all named "Lasta Fit Premium": $14.99, $24.99 and $34.99 (US App Store listing). Apple does not show the period next to each price, so you only see the length on the purchase sheet.
The renewal rule. One sentence in the terms explains why the second charge is higher than the first. The renewal rate "will be no more than the rate for the previously paid subscription period, excluding any promotional and discount pricing" (Lasta Terms of Use). In plain words, the cap on your renewal price ignores the discount you paid. The $9.49 does not protect you from $55.82.

Do Lasta's workout styles work? What the research says
Lasta sells gentle programs: walking, tai chi, Pilates, chair yoga. Here is what the trials say about those styles, separate from any app.
Walking and aerobic exercise. A 2024 dose-response meta-analysis in JAMA Network Open pooled 116 randomized trials with 6,880 adults with overweight or obesity. Each 30 minutes a week of aerobic exercise was linked with 0.52 kg lower body weight and a 0.56 cm smaller waist, and the effect grew in a straight line up to 300 minutes a week (Jayedi et al., 2024). By that slope, 150 minutes a week of aerobic exercise such as brisk walking works out to roughly 2.6 kg. That is useful, and it is less than most before-and-after photos suggest.
Steps. A meta-analysis of 15 cohorts with 47,471 adults found that the quarter taking the most steps (a median of about 10,900 a day) had a 53% lower risk of death during follow-up than the quarter taking the fewest (about 3,550). The benefit leveled off at 6,000 to 8,000 steps a day for adults 60 and older, and at 8,000 to 10,000 for younger adults (Paluch et al., 2022). A free phone step counter measures this as well as any paid app. Our post on calories burned walking 10,000 steps shows what that walking adds up to in food terms.
Pilates. A 2021 meta-analysis of 11 randomized trials with 393 adults with overweight or obesity found Pilates reduced body weight by 2.40 kg and body fat percentage by 4.22 points, with no significant change in waist size or lean mass (Wang et al., 2021). The authors called for larger, better trials, so treat the numbers as promising rather than settled.
Tai chi. A 2023 meta-analysis of 24 randomized trials found tai chi reduced the risk of falls in older adults (risk ratio 0.76) and improved balance tests such as the timed up-and-go (Chen et al., 2023). For an older beginner, balance and fall risk are good reasons to pick tai chi, even if weight does not move much.
Tai chi: the evidence is strongest for balance and fewer falls
Aerobic versus strength. A 2025 meta-analysis of 36 studies with 1,564 healthy adults found that, in programs lasting at least 10 weeks, aerobic training reduced body mass by 1.82 kg more than resistance training but kept 0.88 kg less fat-free mass (Lafontant et al., 2025). Combining both reduced more fat mass than strength training alone. If your Lasta program is all low-impact cardio, add some bodyweight strength work.
Fasting, which Lasta still offers. A 2025 BMJ network meta-analysis of 99 randomized trials with 6,582 adults found every intermittent fasting method and ordinary calorie restriction reduced weight compared with no diet. Only alternate-day fasting beat regular calorie restriction, by 1.29 kg (Semnani-Azad et al., 2025).
None of these studies tested the Lasta app itself, only the exercise styles it packages.

✨ The same-day second charge (right after this)
Lasta's refund policy, read closely
Lasta's refund policy was last updated on August 27, 2026. It opens with the rule: fees "are not refundable, except as stated in this Refund Policy, as stated in an App Store's refund policy for fees paid via the App Store, or as required by applicable law" (Lasta Refund Policy). Here is what the exceptions actually require.
The 30-day money-back guarantee. It applies "only to an initial subscription purchased directly through a Lasta website if the 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee was presented to you at checkout." To qualify, you must follow the plan for at least 14 consecutive days within the first 30 days, then email [email protected] within those 30 days with screenshots showing at least one fasting, workout or other session on each of 14 consecutive calendar days. Miss one day and the guarantee is gone. It never covers a renewal, and it never covers an App Store or Google Play purchase.
No access within 24 hours. If the login email never arrives and Lasta cannot restore access in a reasonable time, it refunds.
A fault on Lasta's side. Lasta first tries to fix it; a price cut or partial refund follows only if it cannot.
California and Connecticut. Residents who cancel before midnight of the third business day after the purchase get the payment back.
EU, EEA and UK. The policy says these residents normally have a 14-day cooling-off period, then says that by placing an order they "waive the right to a 14-day cooling-off period". The 2-year legal guarantee for faulty services still applies. If you are in Germany and searched "lasta kündigen", this is the clause that matters: canceling stops the next charge, but it does not bring back a charge you already paid.
App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google decide. Request quickly through reportaproblem.apple.com or your Google Play order history. Our guide to fasting app refund rules explains how the stores treat these requests.
In practice, a BBB complaint often gets further than the policy suggests. In the July 2026 complaints I read, Lasta's replies said "a full refund was issued" in case after case. Customers who went straight to support describe a different first answer. One wrote that support said "we're unable to issue a refund according to our Terms and Conditions" and offered "a 2-month free extension" instead.
How to cancel Lasta, step by step
Where you paid decides where you cancel. The terms repeat the most important point: "Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription" (Lasta Terms of Use). The refund policy adds that deleting your Lasta account does cancel a website subscription, but does not cancel one billed through Apple or Google.
One warning before the steps. The FAQ on Lasta's pricing article says cancellation "is handled through the App Store or Google Play". That is only true for store purchases. Most people who buy after the web quiz pay Lasta directly, and the store settings will not show that subscription.
Bought on the website (most quiz purchases)
- Find the email you used at checkout, or the Account ID in your payment confirmation email.
- Go to the Lasta subscription page and open the cancellation assistant, which Lasta describes as "our automated AI assistant".
- Enter the email or Account ID and follow the steps until you see a confirmation.
- If that fails, open the app, go to Profile, then Manage Subscription. The homepage FAQ describes an older path: the person icon, your profile card, "Manage my membership", then "Cancel plan".
- As a backup, send a written request through Lasta's online cancel request form with your purchase email, your Account ID or bank receipt, and the words "cancel my subscription".
Bought through the App Store (iPhone or iPad)
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Lasta.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
Bought through Google Play (Android)
- Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile icon.
- Tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Lasta.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
Do this at least 24 hours before the billing date. Access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Then do one more check, because of the charge covered next.
The second charge on the same day
You have been patient, so here it is. The Lasta charge that surprises people most is neither the trial nor the renewal. It is the add-on.
The terms allow purchases that give "additional functionality upon payment of a one-time fee, subject to the conditions disclosed to you prior to your purchase" (Lasta Terms of Use). In the checkout these appear as extra offers on the screens after the quiz. In a BBB reply in July 2026, Lasta explained two charges on the same day this way: "the account was signed up for both our Main Plan and an optional Add-on feature during the checkout process, resulting in two separate line items" (BBB complaints, Lasta Inc).
Reviews show what that looks like on a statement. A Google Play review from April 2026, marked helpful by 63 people, reads: "Starting price was $10.55 a month... March and April you took out $58.95 plus an additional $31.95 EACH month" (Google Play listing). That is about $91 a month. An App Store reviewer reported "$31 on December 1 and then $59 the same day", then another $31 and $59 at the end of the month (US App Store listing). A Play reviewer wrote that she "mistakenly selected the Buy 2 Get 1 Free option" and was offered 2 free months instead of a refund.
Two checks stop it:
- Before you pay: read every screen after the quiz. If a box is already ticked, untick it. If an offer says "bundle" or "buy 2 get 1", it is a second purchase. Screenshot the final checkout screen with both prices.
- After you cancel: check your card statement for a second Lasta line. If you see one, ask support to cancel the add-on too and to confirm in writing that nothing else will bill.

Is Lasta worth the money?
It depends on how long you will use it and which plan you buy.
Lasta can make sense if:
- You are a beginner, an older adult or someone with joint pain, and you want short, gentle video programs you can follow at home.
- You will commit to a 12-week or 24-week plan at the start, so the yearly cost stays near $238 to $381 at full price rather than $700 or more.
- You like a fixed 28-day program and daily prompts more than planning your own sessions.
Skip it or look elsewhere if:
- You only want to walk more. A free step counter and a weekly target cover the evidence above.
- You mainly want to track calories. Our weight loss calculator gives you a daily target without a subscription.
- You tend to forget renewal dates. The gap between $9.49 and $55.82 is where most complaints start.
For price context, our cheapest nutrition app comparison lists what the main tracking apps charge a year. Two fasting-first apps Lasta competes with have their own pricing guides: Fastic pricing and Simple app pricing. Meal plan app instead? See Unimeal pricing.
Where NutriScan fits
I work for NutriScan, so read this section with that in mind. Lasta and NutriScan do different jobs. Lasta is a workout program with trackers around it. NutriScan is a food tracker with 150k+ downloads and a 4.6-star rating: you take a photo of your meal, tag the food type and cooking method, and the app estimates calories, protein, carbs and fat, which you can then correct.

Home > Camera Icon > Click Picture
The Home screen puts the day's eaten calories, remaining calories and protein, carbs and fat bars at the top. If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, your steps show up next to what you ate, so the walking you do with Lasta or a free step counter sits beside the food side of the math.

Bottom Nav > Home > Overall tab
Lasta charges for its fasting tracker as part of the subscription. In NutriScan, the fasting timer is part of the free plan: pick 14:10, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 or a custom window and it counts down on your lock screen.

Home > Top Tab "Fasting"
The free plan includes 5 meal scans a week, and Premium removes the limit for about $59 a year. The details are on our NutriScan pricing page. If you already walk or do Pilates and want to see what you eat, a photo food tracker plus free exercise videos can cost less than one Lasta renewal.

⏱️ Progress 4/4 • ~12 minutes in • Nicely done
✅ Step 1: No free plan; the $9.49 first charge is a paid trial that renews at full price
✅ Step 2: $55.82 every 28 days in the FAQ; $238 to $806 a year at full price depending on plan length
✅ Step 3: Refunds are narrow; cancel where you paid, 24 hours before the billing date
✅ The same-day second charge: an add-on from checkout, billed as its own line item (revealed)
If you buy Lasta, buy the longest plan you will actually finish, untick every extra after the quiz, and put the renewal date in your calendar the same day. If the programs do not suit you, cancel in the first week and check your statement for a second line.
FAQ
Is the Lasta app free?
No. The app is free to download, but Lasta's own FAQ says the service is available through a subscription. Without a paid plan you cannot use the workout programs, meal plans or trackers.
How much does Lasta cost?
When I checked on September 26, 2026, Lasta's FAQ listed $9.49 for a personalized 28-day plan, renewing at $55.82 after the first month. The final price appears after the onboarding quiz and can change with location, tax and currency. Lasta's own pricing article lists full prices of $61.99 for 28 days, $87.99 for 12 weeks and $109.99 for 24 weeks. The US App Store lists Lasta Fit Premium purchases at $14.99, $24.99 and $34.99.
Does Lasta have a free trial?
Not a free one. Lasta's terms describe a paid trial subscription that continues and bills at the applicable fee unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. The low first charge, such as $9.49, is the trial.
How do I cancel Lasta?
For website purchases, use the cancellation assistant on the Lasta subscription page with your purchase email or Account ID, cancel in the app under Profile and Manage Subscription, or send a request through Lasta's online form. For App Store or Google Play purchases, cancel in your Apple or Google subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel, and add-ons may need a separate check.
Can I get a refund from Lasta?
Website purchases are non-refundable except under Lasta's refund policy. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers only a first website subscription where the guarantee was shown at checkout, and you must prove 14 consecutive days of sessions with screenshots. California and Connecticut residents can cancel within 3 business days. App Store and Google Play refunds go through Apple or Google.
Why did Lasta charge me twice?
Usually because of an add-on. Lasta's checkout offers optional extras after the quiz, and Lasta has explained two same-day charges as a main plan plus an optional add-on billed as two separate line items. A second charge can also be a renewal at the full price after the discounted first period.
