The website prices come from a Forbes Health tester, in a review published July 23, 2026 and updated September 4, 2026 (Forbes Health, 2026). Forbes notes that prices may vary with the plan and discounts offered. The App Store prices are the in-app purchase list on the US listing as of September 17, 2026. BetterMe's own terms say the prices in their examples "may not reflect the actual pricing of the plan you have purchased," so treat the table as the range, not a quote.

The weekly product alone would cost $519.48 over a year if it kept renewing. A BetterMe reply to a review on the Canadian App Store listing explains two of them: "The 1-month $9.99 subscription comes after choosing a 3-day free trial" and "The 6-month $41.99 subscription comes after choosing a 7-day free trial."

What the paid BetterMe plan includes

Once a plan is active, the core of BetterMe is a set of home workout collections and a food log. The App Store description lists more than 4,000 home workouts across Pilates, calisthenics, strength, yoga, walking and gym-based sessions, photo-based food logging, Apple Health sync including menstrual-cycle tracking, and integration with BetterMe's own fitness tracker and smart scale (App Store listing).

Forbes Health's tester bought the 4-week plan for $15.19 and got a 28-day wall Pilates series, daily workouts of about 13 to 21 minutes, more than 1,000 healthy recipes, and calorie and water tracking. On the food tool, the tester logged a protein shake by barcode and wrote that it "didn't work every time but was fairly accurate," and that calorie tracking "got me back into closely managing my calories."

The tester was also offered one-on-one coaching for an additional $29.99 during checkout, so the coaching price moves too. Forbes wrote that chatbot assistants claimed human coaches support the plan, but that at publication it "hadn't received clear confirmation of this," including coach contact details or credentials.

3. Discounts can end at renewal. "We may also from time to time offer discounted offers that renew at the full not discounted price." The 61 percent welcome discount in the Forbes test looks like one of these, so a $15.19 4-week plan can renew at $38.95 unless a different renewal price was shown at checkout.
4. Periods are weekly, 4-weekly, 12-weekly or yearly. A 4-week period renews 13 times a year, not 12. That makes "$15.19 a month" $197.47 a year at the discounted rate and $506.35 at list.
5. You authorize the renewal price in advance. "The price for your first period and the renewal price are both shown to you before you complete your purchase." Renewals are charged "at the then-current price."

How to cancel BetterMe

The route depends on where you bought. All of these come from the cancellation section of the subscription terms.

Bought on the website: open the BetterMe app, tap the More tab, go to My Profile, and choose Manage Subscription. This redirects to the BetterMe website, where you can turn renewal off. If you no longer have the app, log in at betterme.world and select Manage Subscription. Cancel before the current period ends to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the period runs out.

Bought through the App Store: turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID subscription settings at least 24 hours before the trial or period ends. BetterMe cannot do this for you: "You alone can manage your subscriptions."

Who is behind BetterMe, and what the review sites say

BetterMe was founded in 2017 in Ukraine, according to Forbes Health. The Google Play developer is BetterMe Limited of Paphos, Cyprus, and BetterMe's site says 150 million people have chosen the app.

The reputation picture is split. Forbes reports a Trustpilot score of 4.4 out of 5 from more than 85,500 reviews, with more than 62 percent five-star, alongside an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, where complaints include "a lack of email reminders for payments, unexpected auto-renewals to plans, unauthorized charges and poor customer service."

Toby Amidor, a registered dietitian on the Forbes Health advisory board, tested the onboarding and flagged a safety point worth repeating. She entered a goal of losing 11 pounds, pressed "quickly," and the app set a 4-week timeline, faster than the 1 to 2 pounds a week that the National Institutes of Health considers a safe rate.
