Is Beyond Body Free? Pricing, Refund and Cancel Rules

Beyond Body is not free, and the plan its own store listing sells costs $24.99 for one month or $67.99 for six months, according to the Beyond Body: Fasting page on the US App Store. Both Beyond Body apps download at no charge. The personalized book, the meal plan and the app features sit behind a purchase, and the app part renews on its own.
I work on the NutriScan team, which makes a food tracking app, so treat this as a competitor's reading of public documents. Every price and rule below comes from Beyond Body's terms, its help center, the app store listings, published reviews and customer reviews, and each one is linked so you can check it.
Prices checked on October 19, 2026. Beyond Body shows its offer only after a sign-up quiz, so your checkout page may show different numbers.
IMPORTANT
Beyond Body pricing at a glance
- No free plan. The App Store lists a 1 month plan at $24.99 and a 6 months plan at $67.99 for the fasting app.
- The app subscription bills every 1, 3 or 6 months in one payment, per the help center.
- The terms say the company "follows a no refund policy, unless the product is proven to be not as described or faulty", with a 14-day window and visual proof.
- The same terms say a subscription "CAN ONLY BE CANCELED AFTER THE SECOND SUBSCRIPTION CHARGE IS MADE", and leaving earlier means paying back the book discount.
- Website purchases are canceled at the account login, not in the app. Deleting the app cancels nothing.
Is Beyond Body free? The quick answer
No. Beyond Body sells a personalized wellness book and a companion app. The quiz that builds your plan is free, and it ends at an offer page with a price.
What you pay depends on what you pick on that page. The company's own FAQ puts it this way: "If you added the Assistant app to your book order, the subscription will renew as indicated in your purchase confirmation. Otherwise, it can be a one-time payment." A book on its own is a single charge. A book with the app is a subscription.
That difference is where most billing complaints start. People read the offer as a one-time book purchase, and months later a renewal for the app lands on the same card. This guide works through five checks, in this order:
- What each part costs, from store listings and published reviews
- What the app adds up to over a year
- When a refund is possible
- The early cancellation clause, which can charge you for leaving
- A five-step routine for buying without losing money, near the end
The first four come straight from the documents. The fifth puts them together, and it is the part to save before you pay.
The face many reviewers describe when a "one-time" book order renews six months later.
Who runs Beyond Body
The terms name the company as UAB "Greatness", company code 306027320, and say it is "responsible for providing the subscription services and handling Client's inquires, including refunds chargebacks". The contact page lists a second company, Perfect Wellness Solutions, UAB, at an address in Vilnius, Lithuania, and names Karma Processing Incorporated of Lewes, Delaware as the "Subscriptions and support provider for US customers".
There are two apps under the brand, from two different sellers. Beyond Body, sold by Greatness UAB, was released on April 8, 2021 and held a 4.2 rating from about 6,000 ratings in the US App Store on October 19, 2026. Beyond Body: Fasting, sold by KETO DIETS UAB, was released on August 7, 2025 and held 4.3 from 939 ratings on October 19, 2026.
On Android, the main app showed 3.9 stars from 3.6K reviews and more than 100,000 downloads. The fasting app showed 4.2 stars from 652 reviews and more than 10,000 downloads.
Three lines in the terms matter before you pay. Prices are "in US Dollars unless otherwise indicated". The agreement "is governed by the laws of Texas", with disputes sent to individual arbitration and no class actions. And the services are closed to anyone under 18. You can opt out of arbitration by email within 30 days of accepting the terms.
Beyond Body price list: what is public and what is not
Beyond Body does not publish a full price list. The terms say you answer questions first and then receive an "Offer" that includes the "payment amount for the relevant Services and/or Goods". I did not complete the quiz for this article, so the table below uses prices from store listings and from other people who recorded them, with the source for each row.
| Source | What it shows | Date |
|---|---|---|
| US App Store, Beyond Body: Fasting | In-app purchases: "1 month plan" $24.99, "6 months plan" $67.99 | October 19, 2026 |
| US App Store, Beyond Body | In-app purchases: "Personalized workout program" $14.99, "Lifetime subscription" $15.00 | October 19, 2026 |
| Nebula Genomics review | Ebook $35. Ebook plus hardcover $80. Book at $30 when bought with the app | May 25, 2023 |
| Nebula Genomics review | App membership: $33 for 1 month, $54 every 3 months, $81 every 6 months | May 25, 2023 |
| SheKnows review | "Beyond Body Personalized Wellness Book $40+" | November 10, 2021 |
| Customer reviews of the main app and the fasting app | Renewal charges reported at $89, "almost $170" and $171.36 for 6 months | March to September 2026 |
Two notes on those sources. The SheKnows article states that "Beyond Body is a SheKnows sponsor", so read it as paid coverage. The Nebula figures are from 2023, and the customer-reported renewals in 2026 are higher than its $81 six-month price, so treat the older numbers as a floor.
The split payment rule catches people too. The help center says "we do not split payments. For example, if you purchase a 6-month subscription, you will be charged for the whole 6-month period at once, every 6 months." A plan advertised at a low monthly figure still arrives as one large charge.

What Beyond Body costs over a year
The first payment tells you little about the yearly bill, because the app renews and the renewal price can change. Using the two plans on the App Store listing, 12 payments of $24.99 come to $299.88 a year. Two payments of $67.99 come to $135.98 a year.
The 2023 prices in the Nebula review give a similar spread. Monthly billing at $33 is $396 a year, four payments of $54 are $216, and two payments of $81 are $162. Add $30 to $80 for the book in the first year.
Figure 1: One year of the app alone runs from $135.98 to $396 depending on the billing period, before the $30 to $80 book.
The renewal is not locked to the price you first paid. The terms say "Renewals will be charged at Company's then-current rates, which Client acknowledges and agrees may be higher or lower than the rates for the original service period." They add that "The price of our Services shown in the offers might be valid only for the initial term of your Subscription."
Customer reports from 2026 fit that wording. One App Store reviewer wrote on August 15, 2026, "I signed up for a one-time 6-month subscription. 6-months later, I'm being charged almost $170 for a recurring subscription". A reviewer of the fasting app wrote on September 2, 2026, "Fast forward 6 months and I have been charged $171.36!"
Does Beyond Body have a free trial?
There is no standing free trial on either store listing. The terms leave room for one: "The Company may offer the trials of paid subscriptions for the limited time at a special price or without payment". Whether you see a trial depends on the offer shown after your quiz.
If you do get one, it converts on its own. The same clause says the company "will automatically begin charging the Client for the subscription on the first day following the end of the Trial", and that "If Client doesn't want to be charged, he must cancel the subscription before the end of the Trial."
At least one customer describes this path. A June 9, 2026 review of the fasting app opens with "I wish I had read these reviews before getting the free trial" and goes on to report a $42.99 charge. If a trial is part of your offer, write down the end date on the day you start.
Beyond Body refund policy: 14 days and proof of a fault
The default rule is short. The terms say "The Company follows a no refund policy, unless the product is proven to be not as described or faulty." To use the exception you must contact support "within 14 days upon purchase" with "detailed information proving Company's product fault (with visual proof attached)."
Changing your mind does not count. The help center's refund article says "we cannot offer a refund if you simply changed your mind and don't want the book." It adds that a representative replies in 1 to 3 business days and that after a full refund "you will no longer have access to the product." The terms say an approved refund "may take up to 14 working days to reach your bank account."
Digital purchases get less protection than physical ones. The terms state, in capital letters, that when the purchase is digital content "THE CLIENT AGREES TO LOSE HIS/HER RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL OF THE AGREEMENT." They also say the company stores the ebook "FOR 3 MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE", so download your copy early.
In practice, several customers report partial refunds. In the 50 most recent US reviews of the main app, five mention an offer of 25% back. One wrote on January 3, 2026, "The representative tried to say I was past my 14 day window and offered a 25% refund. I pointed out the dates and she then offered a 50% refund." That reviewer says a full refund followed.
Two more rules affect how you ask. The refund article warns that "If you dispute or request a chargeback for the purchase with your credit card provider, we will not be able to refund the transaction". Ask the company first and keep the dispute as a last step. The terms also say "deleting an account on the Mobile app does not imply any right to refunds."
If you paid through a store, the store handles the refund. Apple's process is on its refund request page, and Google's is on the Google Play refund page.
The early cancellation rule most buyers miss
This is the clause that sets Beyond Body apart from most apps I have priced. Section 5.7.4 of the terms says you may cancel "at least 48 hours before the end of the current period", then adds in capitals: "SUBSCRIPTION CAN ONLY BE CANCELED AFTER THE SECOND SUBSCRIPTION CHARGE IS MADE".
Section 5.7.5 covers people who want out sooner. If you wish to cancel "BEFORE SECOND SUBSCRIPTION CHARGE IS MADE", the company "WILL REQUIRE THE CLIENT TO RETURN APPLIED DISCOUNTS FOR E.BOOK OR BOOK", and you "WILL BE ASKED TO AUTHORIZE THE CHARGE THOROUGH SELF SERVICE." The terms give the reason as avoiding "circumvention attempts by the Client."
Put plainly, the cheap book price is tied to the app subscription. Leave before the first renewal and the terms let the company charge the book discount back. The terms do not state the amount, so it depends on the discount in your own offer.
Customers describe meeting this rule without having read it. A May 30, 2026 App Store review calls it "Another one of those infuriating subscriptions you can't cancel until after they've already overcharged you." A July 30, 2026 review of the fasting app mentions "people being charged $60 for canceling their subscription". I could not confirm that figure in any company document.
The 48-hour deadline matters as well. Canceling on the last day of a period is too late under the terms, and the next full period is charged.
That is four of the five checks done. The renewal rules and cancel steps come next, and the five-step routine near the end shows how to stay clear of this clause.
Auto-renewal and the word "lifetime"
Renewal is the default. The terms say "Unless Client cancels the subscription, Company will automatically renew the applicable service when it comes up for renewal and will take payment from the payment method associated with the Service". The renewal period matches the most recent service period, so a six-month plan renews for six months.
The terms do not promise a reminder before the charge. A December 15, 2025 reviewer wrote that "this automatically renews, and there's no notification that it does".
A lifetime purchase has a cap. Section 5.9 says a lifetime subscription lasts "as long as the product is actively maintained and supported by UAB Greatness", and then: "in no event will the lifetime subscription extend beyond 5 years from the date of purchase." The App Store listing shows a "Lifetime subscription" in-app purchase at $15.00, so know that the word means five years at most.
How to cancel Beyond Body
Where you cancel depends on where you paid.
If you bought on the website, the app will not show a cancel button. The help center gives this path:
- Go to the Beyond Body homepage and scroll to the footer.
- Click Manage Your Subscription, which opens the client login page.
- Log in with your username and password.
- Check the status of your subscription and cancel it there.
The terms confirm that a website purchase cannot be managed from your phone's subscription settings: "Client will not be able to control it through the Apple App Store or Google Play." You can also email [email protected], the address on the help center.
If you bought through Apple or Google, the terms say you can cancel "only through his Apple or Google Account." Apple's steps are in its cancel a subscription guide and Google's are in the Google Play help page.
Save proof of the cancellation. One fasting app reviewer wrote on September 7, 2026 that the company "would not return my money because they said I did not have screenshots of the app canceling." Another, on April 30, 2026, reported that the website returned an "application error" on three devices. If the page fails, email support the same day so the date of your request is on record.
Screenshot the cancellation confirmation and note the date. One reviewer was refused a refund for not having one.
One more line from the terms: "Client understands that deleting the app does not cancel the subscriptions."
Canceled 48 hours early, with a screenshot saved.
What you get for the money
The core product is a book built from your quiz answers. The SheKnows review from 2021 describes it as a "Personalized Wellness Book", and the main app's store page says the app syncs with the book and adds meal plans, recipes and workout tracking. A recent five-star review praises the weekly grocery list and the option to change a recipe.
The core product is a meal plan book built from your quiz answers, with an app that syncs to it.
The fasting app is a separate product with fasting schedules, a timer, recipes and lessons. Several low reviews call it basic for the price. A May 4, 2026 reviewer titled their review "Basic fasting tracker unless purchase the book additionally".
A dietitian's review raises a content concern. Abby Langer, a registered dietitian since 1999, bought the book and wrote in her review, last updated October 9, 2023, "Beyond Body assigned me a budget of 1200-1350 calories each day." Her view was that this level is "too low for most active people". She also reported that the quiz let her proceed with a goal "to lose 38 pounds in 28 days." The product may have changed since then, so check the calorie target in your own plan against advice from your doctor.
If you want to compare program-style apps before paying, the closest ones we have priced are BetterMe, Noom and, for fasting, Fastic.
What users say about billing and the program
One section of reviews and one of research, then the five-step routine.
Reviews split into two groups: people who like the meal plan and people who are angry about a charge. On Trustpilot, Beyond Body held a TrustScore of 3.5 out of 5 from 6,232 reviews on October 7, 2026. Trustpilot's own summary of recent reviews notes "frustration regarding unexpected credit card charges, automatic renewals, and serious difficulties when attempting to cancel their active subscriptions." The page also shows that the company replied to 100% of negative reviews.
I read the 50 most recent US reviews of the main app, dated November 27, 2025 to September 21, 2026. There were 25 one-star and 15 five-star reviews, and 21 of the 25 one-star reviews mention charges, renewal, cancellation, refunds or the subscription, by a keyword count. A few examples:
- March 17, 2026: "Charged $89 as a 6 month plan even though I had not agreed to subscription."
- December 15, 2025: "They charge you the full amount and if you could try to cancel, they will do so but only refund you 25%."
The 50 most recent reviews of the fasting app, dated May 3 to October 4, 2026, lean the same way: 33 one-star and 11 five-star, with 21 of the 33 one-star reviews touching on billing.
The praise is specific too. A July 6, 2026 reviewer gave two stars for the price but wrote "I lost close to 10 pounds during the first 28 days, and about 5 more pounds over the next two months". A July 25, 2026 reviewer wrote "What I like most is the ability to create a grocery list for meals for the week."

What the research says about this kind of program
No published study has tested Beyond Body itself; a PubMed search for the name on October 7, 2026 returned nothing. The research on its main ideas is more useful.
Personalized advice has some support. A systematic review of 11 randomized trials, Jinnette et al., 2021, found that "dietary intake is improved to a greater extent in participants randomly assigned to receive PN advice compared with generalized dietary advice."
Fasting works about as well as ordinary calorie restriction. A network meta-analysis of 99 trials with 6,582 adults, Semnani-Azad et al., 2025, concluded that "intermittent fasting diets have similar benefits to continuous energy restriction for weight loss". A fasting timer is a schedule tool, and the weight change still comes from eating less.
What predicts results in app studies is how often people use the tool. A review of 39 studies, Patel et al., 2021, found that greater digital self-monitoring was linked to weight loss in 74% of occurrences. Staying with it is the hard part: in Carpenter et al., 2022, a 6-month study of 54 adults, the median time before people stopped tracking was 4 weeks for weight and 10 weeks for diet.
That matters for a six-month plan paid in one charge. Genaidy et al., 2026 followed 934 new users of a different subscription app and found that heavy use in the first week strongly predicted subscribing, with an odds ratio of 21.31, but did not predict renewing at 6 months. A good first week tells you little about month six, so pick the billing period you are sure to use.
Who Beyond Body is worth paying for
It fits best if you want a printed or digital plan with recipes chosen for you, and you prefer following a set menu over logging your own food.
It fits poorly if you want to know the full price before you start, or if you might want to leave early. The terms tie the book discount to staying past the second charge, the refund rule needs proof of a fault, and five of 50 recent reviewers mention a 25% refund.
It is also a weak pick if you eat out often. Two recent reviewers of the main app say they could not log a meal that was outside the plan. If you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor first, because the homepage states that the program "is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment."
How to buy Beyond Body without losing money: 5 steps
- Screenshot the offer page. Capture the book price, the app plan length, the renewal price and the renewal date before you pay. The terms say the offer page is where the payment amount is shown.
- Decide if you want the app at all. Per the FAQ, a book without the app "can be a one-time payment". Adding the app starts a subscription and links your book discount to it.
- Download the ebook in the first week. The company stores it for 3 months after purchase.
- Report any fault within 14 days, with photos. The refund rule needs visual proof that the product was faulty or not as described.
- Cancel at least 48 hours before renewal and keep proof. Use Manage Your Subscription in the website footer, screenshot the confirmation, and email [email protected] if the page fails.
Tracking food with a free tier
If your goal is knowing what you eat, a food tracker costs less than a book and app bundle. NutriScan, the app my team makes, has a Free plan with 5 AI food scans a week and a Premium plan at about $59 a year, and the plans are listed without a quiz in our pricing breakdown. It has no printed book or set 28-day menu, so it does not replace what Beyond Body sells.

For more program-style options, see our list of Noom alternatives, and for refund wording across similar subscriptions, our guide to fasting app refund rules.
Beyond Body pricing FAQ
Is Beyond Body free?
No. Both apps are free to download, and the book, meal plan and app features are paid. The App Store lists the fasting app's plans at $24.99 for 1 month and $67.99 for 6 months.
How much does Beyond Body cost per month?
There is no public price list; the offer appears after a quiz. The store listing shows $24.99 for one month. A 2023 Nebula Genomics review recorded $33 for 1 month, $54 every 3 months and $81 every 6 months, and customers in 2026 report six-month renewals of $89 to about $170.
Does Beyond Body have a free trial?
Not as a standing offer. The terms allow trials "at a special price or without payment" and say billing starts on the first day after a trial ends unless you cancel before then.
Can I get a refund from Beyond Body?
Only in limited cases. The terms set a no refund policy unless the product is faulty or not as described, and you must contact support within 14 days with visual proof. Changing your mind is not accepted, and several reviewers report offers of 25% back.
How do I cancel Beyond Body?
For a website purchase, click Manage Your Subscription in the homepage footer, log in and cancel there, as the help center describes. Cancel at least 48 hours before renewal. The terms say canceling before the second charge means returning the book discount. Store purchases are canceled in your Apple or Google account.
